The PTSP allows participating members to select a passenger motor carrier who can, with the highest degree of probability, provide safer, more reliable, and more efficient transportation services.
All carriers on the PTSP National Approved List undergo intensive scrutiny and must
continually demonstrate that effective safety management controls are in place and
functioning to meet compliance requirements with applicable regulations.
All PTSP approved carriers' on-road performance is also subject to routine monitoring
every six months to ensure that operational standards are maintained. The routine
monitoring coupled with random roadside inspections are ongoing assessments of the
carrier's ability to maintain the highest standards of safety and performance.
Each of the following clients is currently participating in this cooperative agreement
to ensure the safe, secure, and efficient transportation of individuals:
- Assisted Living Facilities
- Motor Carriers
- School Districts
- Student Associations
As an administrator, teacher, or chaperon planning a group trip, you may not be
familiar with the Federal and state regulations designed to ensure that the motorcoach
company and their drivers meet all the standards necessary to transport passengers.
Disclaimer: Even though the carrier meets the standards to become an approved carrier, this does not mean that the carrier will continue to maintain the safety levels or that an accident will not happen. As of the date that the report is issued, the carrier met the requirements to obtain/maintain its status as an approved carrier.
You cannot rely on the report or the approved status of the carrier as a guarantee or as an assurance, including but not limited to, that the carrier will not be involved in an accident, will not have a mechanical failure, that present drivers and employees will maintain their qualifications to continue to operate the vehicle, that future drivers and employees will be qualified to operate the vehicles or that management will continue to maintain the safety standards it had in place as of the date that the carrier was approved. Consolidated Safety Services, Inc. is not liable for the negligence of the carrier, its drivers, employees or agents, the negligence of third parties, any accidents, mechanical failure, damages, claims, injuries, deaths, acts or omissions of the carrier, its employees, drivers, agents and the school district shall hold Consolidated Safety Services, Inc. harmless from any such liability.
